Ignition timing....

I found this example of an ignition timing map for a supercharged Toyota 4AGZE somewhere.  I might try it on my application as at the moment I've got no torque above 3000RPM.

High volume baffled/windage sump installed!

The new Moroso sump is installed.

What a difficult job!

Had to remove the gearbox stay brackets as I could not access the small sump nuts.

New Brakes

New front brake kit arrived from NZ over Christmas.

Ordered custom Wilwood calipers with the dust seals to keep ADR road legal.

Also optioned slotted rotors (not shown).

Shocks were upgraded to KYB adjustables.



The Sprinter then got new HKS 272 degree intake and exhaust cams, necessitating a new EFI system - a Motec M4.

Tuning took a while.

Then Nizpro in Bayswater did a good job.

The last time the AE86 Sprinter saw the track was at Winton in Victoria, almost 15 years ago.

• Toyota 4AGE engine
• 100kW (red top)
• Toyota EFI
• Factory RWD cast iron headers
• 15 inch alloy wheels
• Momo steering wheel
